go back to home page These privately organised tours were started in 1974 by Damaris Falconar and are now run twice a year by her daughters Jane Maw Cornish and Mary Kehoe who accompany the trips.
This is the holiday with a difference: the lightly packaged tour for the independently minded!

At the sites and in the museums you are free to explore at your own pace; to examine every stone, to sit and sketch - or just sit!

We stay in the centre of the towns which means that in Athens, Olympia and Delphi we are within walking distance of the sites and museums so you can choose when you go and how long you stay, and we are always close to shops and restaurants.
We usually have a picnic or snack lunch (maybe on the site under an olive tree) and in the evening eat in one of the many excellent local 'tavernas' where a
good meal with local wine costs between £7 & £10.
(You can be as sociable as you want, you don't have to join a group, but likewise you need never be alone if you don't want to be.)
Our trips are suitable for all ages: the range so far has been 8 to 87.
Greece in October and June is not too crowded. and can be pleasantly warm and sunny; we often eat outdoors and usually manage a swim.
